Lance Sokugawa

Pastor Lance Sokugawa serves as a Teaching Pastor at Grace Bible Maui. He and his wife, Tedynne, previously led our Wailuku extension, known as WEX, and now serve as part of our Kahului church family.

Lance graduated from Pearl City High School on Oahu and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. While in college, he accepted the Lord and attended Grace Bible Church Honolulu. During that season, he became part of a team that helped start Grace Bible Church Hilo.

After serving in Hilo for eight years, Lance returned to Oahu and later became part of a team serving at GBC Leeward. During that time, he married Tedynne, whom he met at GBC Honolulu while she was involved in youth ministry.

Years later, Lance and Tedynne moved to Maui for a job opportunity at Makena Resort and began attending Grace Bible Maui. Tedynne later served on the church office staff and currently works for the County of Maui. When GBC Maui launched the Wailuku extension, Lance and Tedynne became part of leading that ministry.

Lance retired from Maui Nui Golf Club, where he served as the Golf Course Superintendent. He enjoys golf, fishing, watching ESPN, and completing his first and last marathon, the Honolulu Marathon in 2013.
