Pastor Eddie and Susan Asato founded Grace Bible Church Maui in 1974 after leading GBC Honolulu’s college ministry and planting GBC Kauai Church.

GBC is now lead by their son, Jonavan Asato, who became pastor in 2014.

GBC Maui belongs to a family of churches, which began with GBC Honolulu. Today, we have churches located on each of the Hawaiian islands, Guam, Saipan, Japan and Thailand. Our family of churches is associated with nearly 500 “Every Nation” churches whose presence is found in 32 nations of the world.

We have two church families, our Kahului family pastored by Jonavan, and our Wailuku family pastored by Lance Sokugawa. Prior to the spread of COVID-19 these two families met at separate locations, but are now consolidated under the same roof but meet at different times.

God has blessed us with 8.5 acres of land, a pre-school, a youth ministry, a college ministry, a leadership institute, a great staff, and a strong presence in the Maui community.
