Eddie Asato

Pastor Eddie Asato is the Founding and Teaching Pastor of Grace Bible Maui. He and his wife, Susan, founded Grace Bible Church Maui in 1974 after leading Grace Bible Church Honolulu’s college ministry and planting GBC Kauai Church.

Eddie grew up on Oahu, graduated from Iolani School, attended the University of Hawaii, and received a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Christian International College and a Master of Divinity from King’s Seminary.

He has served in ministry for more than 40 years, preached around the world, and helped coordinate gatherings for Maui pastors. He is also the author of Unsealing the Book: Revelations and A Legacy of Grace on Maui.

Eddie is married to Susan Shimabukuro Asato. They have three children and eleven grandchildren.

Pastor Eddie enjoys playing tennis, lifting weights, cooking, health and fitness, finances, reading, traveling, and learning about new technology, especially Mac computers.
